LOL! Heh, I hefted a Smith .50 the other day, and I could see wanting to shoot one, but damn that's an expensive gun(ammo wise) to ever use at the range. Nice gun. :)

Shooting a 500 S&W Mag is no different than shooting a 44 mag.

Lots of muzzle rise, really big bang. As long as you know what you're doing its nothing special.

Spoken like someone that's never fired one.

Sorry, fired it before. Really big bang, really big hole.

Its not like I couldnt write my name for a week afterwards or got plunked on my ass.

.50 S&W Mag has only been out months and everybody has picked one up and fired it?

Guy at work just bought one, the guy probably goes 400+ lbs so I wasn't going to tell him the gun has no use outside of making everybody turn their head at the range.

It's probably a kick ass gun for hunting where rifles aren?t allowed, so I would say it has a use. Anyway I?ve read that Smith&Wesson 329PD is the worst kicking gun around when shooting full house loads and that the .500 isn?t to bad with lighter loads. Haven't shot either one though just going by what I've read. The range I go to won't let you shoot the .500 anyway. :)
