Finally, Part of the "Fry's" club

After reading all the posts on all the hot deals at B&M Fry's, I will finally have the chance to get in on one of them, if there are any! I am going to San Antonio for a conference and will be stopping in Houston for the night. So, is the Houston store any good? I was thinking also about stopping of at Microcenter, why not hit all the stores that I don't have in my area, right?!?

Any good deals at these particular stores? Let me know! I leave tomorrow morning!

Thanks!

You can also go to the one in Austin, I have been to everystore in NorCal and this one in Austin and their all the same.

LOL... the one at burbank has a space ship that looks like it missed the front door... 😀 and it has all kinds of alien and bugs inside... oOOoOoOOoh... the one at city of industry looks like a giant toy... 😕

The Houston Fry's is ok, but not as nice as the austin one, and if you go into the mobo/memory section watch out for a chick at the personell kiosk there.. she has no clue as to what she is talking about and will drone on constantly about useless stuff if you let her.

Probably not. If she was she probably wouldn't be doing this job also the note about her n ot knowing anything doesn't lend itself to the idea that she likes computers and from that you can deduce that she *should* know some stuff and not useless stuff.

We don't have Best Buy, Fry's and the like in England. We have a Staples store somewhere though....

Good old Frys to bring up a discussion on a tangent. From someone looking for a hot deal to questionable decorations.

I used to live close to the Palo Alto Fry's when I worked in California. They had a Western theme, with a big stage coach in the middle of it.

Come to think of it, I really miss reading the Fry's circular in the San Jose Mercury News every Friday while eating a Western special at Carl's Jr. 😀

Ok, stay away from the drone chick. got it. Well I am off! I got my cable so I can connect my cell to my laptop, that way I can scour the hot deals forum before walk in 😉

My poor bank account, my poor wife! 🙂

All I can say is WOW!!! 😀 That store was nothing like anything I've been in. I can't believe how much they carry. I got an Epox NF2 and XP2100+ T-Bred B (0302). When I head back through Houston after this week in San Antonio, I am gonna go again and get some more stuff.

SPEND SPEND SPEND!

The Fry's in Dallas off of Northwest Hwy. looks like a ranch upper level has a fence with longhorns heh, bunch of fake looking wood some ranch brand symbols 🙂

on the other hand the one in Arlington, TX off of I-20 looks like a plain warehouse :\
