Finally, my PC is quiet!

Today I installed a Zalman fanmate to my Ti4400. I turned the knob all the way down and the fan became whisper quiet. This was the remaining noisy part of my PC. I don't think the fanmate can install on most video coolers, but I had a thermaltake cooler.

Be sure to watch out for artifacting or any other anomalies, especially if you're OCing that card.

Congrats! I just installed a Zalman ZM80C-HP on my Radeon 9600 a week or so ago and I know how you feel!

At the lowest RPM I get no artifacts, I played CoD last night for over an hour. I don't overclock it.

Quiet, stable computer > Noisy, slightly faster computer

My Raptor is my loudest part as well.

I got the Zalman heatpipe on my 9500 Pro, but it's a pain in the ass to install that sucker.

My loudest part is my PSU running at 2300rpm, which is quite silent (TT butterfly 480W). 3 days ago it was 9800pro stock cooler, which I hated, but now that's fixed with my new Giant III in low setting, which makes my gpu around 10C cooler with silence. Oh, and I gave the blower to a known for his northbridge

I consider 1700RPM too loud for a PSU fan. And that's with a Panaflo L1A! I run my PSU (I'm guessing) at ~1300RPM.

wankers complaining of WD raptor drivers, you ought to try my system. i got dual Vantec Tornado fans that move over 85 CFM and they are rated 55db a piece, you can hear them downstairs with both doors closed (my computer is upstairs)
