I unlocked the Sniper Rifle because I thought that it was the only weapon (of the three that really used: Spec Ops, Sniper or Assault) that offered more than what the default weapon did. I did manage to shoot two helicoper pilots out, one from short distance, and one long distance. The unlockable weapon for the Spec Ops looked like it was very similar to what was already available. I may unlock it next if I ever get enough points. I think my better than 2/1 Kill/Death ratio is pretty good. 🙂

hehe...I think we need some of you's and some of me's on each team. I provide cover for the flag captures and mostly defend rather than actively going after flags myself (most of the times, all alone). Just last night, I sniped off 4 people who was approaching a teammate that was vulnerable while proned under an enemy flag. 🙂

*edit* the sniper's motto of "One shot, One kill" does NOT apply to this game. It's very tough to get a good headshot for a one shot kill.
 
Although it is nice when your target conveniently goes prone facing you....making sure the biggest target is his face😉
 
how many points does it take to unlock a second weapon? I unlocked the sniper weapon as well, and i want to unlock the British rifle with scope next (forgot which class it's for)

10,000? I'm not really sure. I unlocked the G3 when I got to pick, it's alright 😛

It's going to take forever... I haven't even broken 2,000! I may have to start a new char just to unlock the L85A1 or the M95... 🙁

Which is why I just sold bf2. I still love DoD, with the 1-3 shot kills depending on weapon.

only thing i can criticize is that you spent 18 hours to get it, and 16.5 hours was spent as lone wolf.
you also have 191/1552 team points, and low CP related points.

i guess it's a matter of preference, but I tend to prefer team based play.

Well, I am always part of squad, but still go lone wolf too as a sniper. I frackin love the sniper .50 cal. Head shots are great (for those willing to take the time to aim). My favorite part is getting into sniping wars with someone on the other side. Our own personnal vendetta.
