No offense, but Beefy Ts, while decent, are not even close to the quality of Fruit of the Loom Lofteez, the thickest and comfiest blanks I have ever worn. They are available for $2.50-3.50 here.
Beefy T is supposedly 6.5 oz, those are supposedly 6.0 oz.
BUT, None of the web sites are consistant with their advertised weights. I have written hanes an extensive email, so hopefully, I will know the official weights soon.

I will try these shirt you recomend, and It may change my life, or at least my once a year purchase of 20 T-Shirts.

Definitely take the leap of faith. I too am pretty finicky about such things, and the Lofteez are the best.

No where I've looked. That's why I was so excited when I found them online.

Another bummer:

Think Geek said their novelty Ts were "Beefy-Ts" but they were not when I ordered a few. :|

Dude, that is why I have been preaching Hanes2U for years to my friends.
Buy 6 or more, and get 10% off - that comes to $4.49 per shirt and these are the BEEFY Ts - really really heavy
No doubt the way to go, unless Don Vito has discovered something better with the Fruit Loom ones. I have some on order. And, I am a T-Shirt connoisseur, so I can report back with the pros and cons of each shirt once they arrive.

Hanes/SaraLee has called me back and I can report this:

The weight of Beefy T's can change from year to year.

This year they are 6.1 oz cotton.

The Heavy Weights are 5.5 oz cotton.

A web site with different weights may be selling some that they have had around for a few years and so the weight
really is different and it is a genuine Beefy T.

Now, She said if the color offered, is nto a color offered on the Hanes home page, then it is a phoony!

I knew they made fake rolex watches, and Louis Viton bags, but this is an outrage - Phooney beefy-ts!!!

Fruit of the Loom Lofteez may edge out Hanes Beefy Ts in early quality tests.
The Collar on them is better than my Hanes, but they have been through a lot more washes.
But, as it stands, I may switch to Lofteez. :Q I ma miffed that I had nto heard of them before. Thank you Don Vito!

Interesting. I'll have to give them a try.

In the same size, are the arms longer or shorter? Tighter or looser?

How does the body fit? In the same size, tighter or looser?

I always try to buy the Hane's Signature collection tagless shirts(which I can only get at target around here), but I just find them online as well. I'm very picky about my t-shirts.

Same here. some shirts just don't feel right.

This thread is great!

I'm really picky about me T-shirts too. I can never find anything I want in stores; hate pockets, logos and prints. T-shirts never enter my mind when shopping online. Thanks to the few of you who posted good resources to get these great shirts.
