Sorry to say.... this is the best Monitor I have ever used. :) My Sony G500 was damn nice too in its day, but the size of an air conditioner......

The NEC LCD20WGX2 sat on my office floor for a week , was waiting for my new rig to arrive and I didnt want to taint the experience.

Taking into consideration that I just upgraded to a kickass rig ..

This monitor is just Awesome. And thats coming from somone who was using a Sony 21'' crt.

So far, the games I have played it with are Half Life 2, Galactic Civ II and F.E.A.R. And tonight.. Oblivion!!!!!!!!! No ghosting or dead pixels that I can see.

I cant believe I used to be reluctant to go widescreen. I love this resolution. 1600X1200 frankly didnt float my boat with games, not that I didnt like it but took a but-load of horsepower to support it with high settings.

The thing that impresses me the most I think are the black levels. I never saw a monitor that looks this sweet with darker backrounds. The colors are brilliant.

I can go into detail later after playing with this bad boy some more, I am also getting used to my new rig :)

It does however have one flaw, one weakness...the one thing that might be keeping you from getting it and thats the price. I got a decent deal at buy.com ( rebate, and it dropped $30. Also shipped in 3 days ). Or maybe you think 20'' wide screen is to small but damn... Sitting 1 foot away from a screen... I honestly wouldnt want anything bigger, or I would need a couch and a remote control... oh wait thats my Living room!

Congrats...I was trying to find one as I have gone through 4 Dell 2005's, a Gateway 2185 and I'm now using the 19"version of your display. I too was blown away with the richness of the colors and the deep abys-like blackness. I will wait to see how the glossy screen holds up in daylight before I make any rash judgements, but it really makes me want my widescreen back.

LCD20WGX2 and "And I am sorry to say" in same topic. Good way to get people to come in. :D

Glad you like it. I'm going to have my hands on one in 6 months or so.
