I have the XFX Black edition 5850, so it came stock OC'd 765/1125. I have an i5-750 and have OC'd my system to 160 bclk. Here are my 3dmark06 results, if you'd like to compare with yours. I just got it last week, but I do plan on taking the HSF off and putting some Artic silver on the card, but I'm also waiting for my cpu cooler to come in so I can ramp it up some more. From what I've read though, the black edition doesn't OC verywell..which I'm fine with.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=13186896 21242 with just board OC and default card speeds. I have my fan set to go to 35% when over 50C. I never get more than 62C. If I lower it to 30% it will creep up to 67C and 27% will hit 70-71C. At 100% it stays in the 30s
but sounds like a jet engine.
