I think a lot of people gave up on Paulsonator, it's getting easier to access now. Only takes a few seconds.

Someone register and do break the rules in the Babes Galore forum so I can lock a thread.

Gotta give ya some props Blake, you've learned and done a lot on that site of yours (even though it's being updated now, I remember it a few weeks ago or whenever you showed us that beta layout)! Nice job. :)

Thanks zippy...

I'm currently working on it, so is dcpsoguy...

Launch date is sometime in september, if paulsonator.com gets a new server built and faster connection. (server is positive, connection isn't right now)

It's been fun though. To think I didn't know anything about hosting and stuff before just is amazing...

Paulson,

This is what I suggest. Get to know some people at a University. I know that personally I host a site for a local band on my work computer. Yes it isn't the fastest when I am using the machine BUT it is a lot better than what you have going right now. If my boss gave me more ram to run on my work computer I would offer to host your forums for a year while I am still on school. My work computer is only an 800mhz P3 but the bottleneck is the ram. It is running 2000 Server with 128MB of ram. It crawls. IIS is a huge resource killer.

Well, I'd like to have the server in my hands, or at least a few 1000 feet away (our isp's like not even that)

I'm trying to work with them. I'd rather pay $800 for a t-1, than $1150 per month, and no installation fees...

I'm going to have to get more IP's too, so I can run dns servers (my own)

I've got 2 P3 1Ghz systems w/ 512MB Ram each on a cable connect....would that work for hosting?

The reason it's so slow is because it's gotta send out to a site that's hosting the database (for some reason mysql wouldn't work on my server :(). Also the connection is slow, but it's been better...

If someone wants do donate to the "start paulsonator.com fund" go ahead :p
