Don't listen to the hater.
That is really a great deal for that car.

How did you find that for $4600 anyhow ??
That newer version looks better than the previous ones with the pop-up headlights.

I disagree. :p But yeah, $4600 is cheap. I paid $5400 for my 94 four years ago.

lol OK I'll let out the catch. It has a salvage title. But on the upside, I have a friend that's a mazda specialist mechanic, and I had it checked out by him. He approved it, so I bought it. I was able to talk him down $900 from his original $5500 price.

Taken with my Russian Zenitar 16mm F/2.8 fisheye lens on my Pentax *ist DS :)

I have a Canon EFS 10-22 that can do F3.5 at 10mm. I wonder if that could produce a similar DoF.

Nice lens. Wide angle lens will not produce a small DoF. But that's where photoshop comes in. You just need to take pictures with wide angle, and make the DoF very short with photoshop, and you'll get that cool miniature effect.

For the sake of comparison, I bought a 1992 Miata in 2001. The car had 15K miles on the ODO, in like-new condition as it had been mostly garaged for 9 years. Paid $7K for it.

I don't know how to do that effect? Do you "select" your object with the magic wand, then select inverse, and add blurr? I HATE using the magic wand but don't know of any other way to really isolate a subject.

Nice car. And for the ricer comment in the beginning, I'm proud of you for buying a decent car. At least you didn't go buy a Civic or Accord, then hang a bunch of gawdy crap off of it. Are we ever going to get tired of fake balls? ;)

Nope, I just use the blur tool.

Damn straight :)
Miata is a kick ass sports car, not a shoddy, wannabe-boy-racer.

Now it all make sense.
Its a good price to take chances on salvage title cars.

Nothing like a Miata to make a girl's head turn. Happens to me all the time! When I had it at GA Tech, girls would line up to go for a ride in it.

yeah I used to be one of those haters when my brother bought him one a couple years ago. He let me drive it for a weekend and that car rocks! I took my girlfriend (now my wife) out another weekend to the mountains just cruising along the Blue Ridge Parkway with the top down shiftin gears, man that was fun.
