Finally got contacts

Just got back from my training session. So far so good doc put the lenses on to make sure I was 20/20. Then i was taken into another room so that i could try to take them out. I was finally successful when I used 1 hand to pull down the bottom lid and my other to grab the contact. Then i put both back in with relative ease. Right now my eyes are a tiny bit dry, but other than that my vision is great. I can?t even feel the lenses! Anyways after hearing stories of people not being able to get used to the lenses it was a relief for me to get it so quickly. I should have done this a long time ago 🙂

Soft 02 optix ... i cant even feel them right now. I keep having to double check that they are still in
How much? I never wear my glasses because thats so uncool, so I'm trying to figure out how much contacts are... on average

Those are ones you can sleep in correct?

I got night and days over the summer, and they are so much more comfortable than my old focus contacts.

But as a new contact user, you shouldn't be wearing them overnight just yet.

I can go 18 hours with daily soft lenses without issue.
They only get glued to my eyes if I accidentally fall asleep in them for an hour or so. Then they're a pain to get out.

i should get contacts but i'm such a pvssy when it comes to my eyes. my eyes get irritated at the slightest things.

i almost got them the last tim i went for glasses but i chickened out at the last minute.

Be careful sleeping in them. I've had contacts for almost 25 years and have had some nasty infections from sleeping in them too much.

Really? That's not good...as of now I've had my contacts in for the past 5 days...they are rated for 12hrs...damn.

I've never had that problem- I sleep in mine for days at a time sometimes and they always come right out w/no pain or problems. (the ones I have now are OK'd for sleeping in for 2 weeks I think)
One time back when I was stupid I would wear the daily contacts for months on end (one pair, never took them out). Doctor would always try to scare me out of doing it but when he checked my eyes they always showed absolutly no sign of damage. I dont do that any more though, eyes are too precious to screw with =) But even then, they would pop right out

My contacts (Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism) are rated for 2 weeks if I wear them daily, but remove them. I can wear them up to a week straight without removing them, but I haven't tried this out.

Never had that problem.

I've worn them for up to 15 hours with no problem getting them off. Actually i'm surprised how easily i've gotten used to them.

Very good advice i go back for a check up in four weeks, but even if okayed i still dont plan on doing more than a few overnighters.
