Finally getting a PS3

Wow I am glad I got online and checked out best buy website. 160gb PS3 with LBP GOTY, Mod nation racers, cars blu ray movie for $299 with $50 gift card that's only $35 more then I would of spent on a refurb at MC and it comes with MNR game.

My 360 died, fixed it, gave it to a family member, grabbed a PS3. Got the God of War Collection + God of War 3 bundle.

Picked up Demon's Souls and beat NG and have been continuing on. Great game.

Grabbed 3D Dot Game Heroes off ebay for $13 shipped. Mint Condition. Another awesome game. I loved the old Zelda's so this is right up my alley.

The fiancee is getting me some games off my list for Xmas. Don't know which she got, so I'll have to be surprised. Here's my list.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Played the hell out of the old XBox version, and would like to play it again)

I can't remember what else I put down. Kept to exclusives though. Ohh, and grabbed the controller + LBP GOTY bundle for the fiancee as she played the demo and loved it.

I sold my arcade 360 with 20gb hard drive yesterday on c list for $170 and b ops for $40 so I'm going to microcenter today and getting a PS3. I really miss having a PS3. Sure the update's take forever but for some reason I really like it alot more then a 360.

First game on my list is LBP for sure, my daughter is 5 and she loves that game

Wow... people are such cheapskates in my area that I could barely get $70 for my old 360 with a 20gb hd.

Then there's no way you'd like MGS4.

It's light on gameplay and HEAVY on cutscenes and story. Like I said before, it's complete fan service for those who liked the previous MGS games.

yeah, cutscenes are heavy and i liked some of the previous games but i'm not a fan boy, so i don't think i would call it fan service.

i liked the story and gameplay - definitely awesome and immersive.

Got my PS3 in last night but didn't set it up till late and then spent too much time fiddling around with Netflix trying to figure out why it wouldn't stream in HD much less 1080p. I've got a 12mbps down connection and the PS3 was saying that it was connected at around 7.

Kicked off a download of the GOW3 demo in the background but fell asleep watching a Blu-ray movie before it finished.

I've got Uncharted 2 coming tonight but I'll have to wait and see if I get to it. Need to write my Epic Mickey review tonight.

Picked up a PS3 from Amazon - $300 w/ $75 in Amazon credit. Put in on my Sony Card that came with 20k points (~$210 credit)... so my end cost if you include with the $75 credit is ~$90 for the system and all the games. 🙂

With the credit I picked up Uncharted 2, MGS4, Demon's Souls, and Valkyria Chronicles. Picked up GOWIII for $35 on Newegg too. I think I should be set for awhile!

The list looks good so far.

Like others said, I wouldn't move up God of War games and move down LBP and also maybe GT5, as it doesn't look to great to me. I would also add Heavenly Sword to the eventually list.

I think you should really consider getting Demon's Souls and Valkyria Chronicles. Demon's Souls is my favorite game this generation, and in my opinion the best. Valkyria Chronicles is also very good, and the Japanese flair is kept to a minimum.

Well, there's 0% APR on purchases until September, so it won't cost me anything (in interest) if I have it paid off by then. For the PS3 stuff, it comes out to be ~$90, which I can easily pay off by then.
