Finally getting a Murano.

Base price is 26,525. I got it at 20,882 plus all the bullshit. So I saved 5 grand. Granted, no one pays NADA or sticker, but well under is still a good deal.

Nice deal, though. You held out and got a pretty loaded up model for your 20k. I'd say you played it well.

Gonna need some milk crates or one of those fancy trunk organizers. Only downside of this vehicle is I'm giving up quite a bit of cargo space. Mom suggested if I cant get a reasonable price for my S-10 I should keep it, but I dont wanna pay registration on two vehicles.

What's registration on your S-10? My Supra was so depreciated that I was just paying the $25 sticker fee (NADA was under $3k).

Looks nice. I was looking at them new last year but ended up going with a rogue because it was a 0% loan, I got the highest trim package for less than a base murano, and I didn't think I needed all that space.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion on cars but, I think Murano styling is butt ugly and the rear door break in the middle of the wheel well is just wrong.

Its great having a truck around if it costs you next to nothing. Well, my opinion anyway. I guess it depends on 2 factors:

1.) Do you own a house
2.) If so, are you a DIY type of person

Yes, but after the last couple years I realized a small pickup is not suited to real work. I dont have THAT much bed space and theres no room around here to keep a small trailer for hauling.

Well that sucks because if I still lived in the area, I'd buy that S-10 from you. When I was in Arlington, we were getting by on my Supra and my wife's Passat - made DIY jobs horrible. A compact pickup would have been nice to haul shit back from home depot or the landscaping supply. We had a very small lot, so the bed of that truck would've held all the mulch I needed.

I ended up filling my requirements with an Outback. I won't be hauling back fill, but anything in bags is fair game. Can you do the same if you need to with the Murano? If so, you might not need the S-10. It just may be worth more to you than its disposal price.

I finally found something to tick me off.
You need to spend 150 bucks on the maps and they have to be professionally installed, which costs an hour of labor.

Google is free and they update constantly, and they have POI's and business names and phone numbers you can call directly from the maps.

Other than that Nissan has been really good to me. Car runs great, no complaints besides outdated maps, the rear camera has been a life saver, heated seats are awesome in the winter. I want so badly to just get rid of my crummy Chevy. Nobody wants it.

My son's English teacher has a Murano convertible - that's a funky looking vehicle. The strange thing is she's in her 60s and a huge stick in the mud, not the type I'd expect to drive one.
