GT Legends, 35 car race, at night, at 1280x1024, with all details turned up... With or without AA/AF, the game crawls along at these settings :x. So yea, the power is nice to have, IDC if Crysis was delayed :|.

that E6400 is begging to be overclocked.

I overclocked mine this week to 3.4ghz with ease. Those cpus have tremendous potential. This should help to raise your minimum framerates.

Nah, I do have the thing overclocked to 2.8Ghz atm, I just haven't updated my profile at all... Haven't gotten to it.

I'm thinking it has to be in large part due to the 8800, I mean I'm getting 15-16 fps at the start of the race :p. Now, of course, this isn't a realistic situation anyway, but if I theoretically had to race 34 opponents at night (with headlights turned on, keep that in mind) in GT Legends, no less than 2 8800GTX's in SLI would do .

As said before, its not the GPU thats limiting you. Try upping the res and see what happens.

Flight Simulator X would probably give the 8800GTX a good work out. I hear that program has some hefty requirements.

I don't know, it sounds like a kick ass card to me. With my system specs listed below would I get a good performance boost or should I go for a 7950GT and use the leftover money for a new CPU? Should I upgrade my CPU to get the most out of the 8800 card?

Sincerely,

It could be a bad game engine......

Tomb raider lengend with next gen content turned on ran like crap on everything before the 8800 cards were out and it wasn't all that pretty.
