Sprint services depends on lot on the phone (maybe that's true for other providers too). Anyway, I have a motorola timeport (startac type phone) and have very little problem with reception except in large stores like Grocery Store or a Mall, then it's spotty.
Office buildings or other buildings (like my house) it works fine. In the last 1.5yrs never had a problem while driving.

Anyway, if you still have problems with dropped calls, keep track of them. Keep a notepad w/ you and jot 'em down. If it's really as bad as you say it is, they should at the very least offer to update or give you a new phone because the one you have is 'bad'.
If they don't, you have a legitimate reason to get out of your contract. They aren't living up to their terms (providing service). You'd still have to fight to get out of the fee, but, if you have a record of all the dropped calls you should be in good shape.

Anyway, my plan I get a discount from my company, I have 500 Anytime minutes and a ton of N&W Minutes. No PCS to PCS but I only have one phone and don't call others on their PCS very often. No wireless web (which sux at least on my phone). I think my plan is 30 or 35 a month before discount. This was a non-published plan that I got after telling them I was going to switch providers after my contract expired last year. I'm almost up again for a new plan, I think it's time to get a camera phone, will try and finagle [sic] that in my negotiations this year.
