Loved ME2 especially with the progression of my ME1 character. Both on PC. Was pleasently surprised at how much more killy my Sentinel was in ME2 than ME1. Looking forward to ME3.

It's worth replaying and hacking the save game so you can get Legion early. He says all kinds of funny sheit.

Great game, I'm gonna try to playthrough each class before ME3 is released, strangely I've done every loyalty mission and researched every upgrade through my first three playthroughs and I've ALWAYS had
Mordin
die on me. Always. Super frustrating, I'll probably read up on a FAQ to figure out what I'm doing wrong here on my next playthrough...

Send him with the crew survivors back to the ship

Yup, i've done the same and he survived. I have played only once and I lost Garrus, Samara and Jack the first time. I need to decide better I guess.

He's survived both times I've played through, and only once did I send him back. I'm not sure why he didn't die the time I kept him around as I've heard a lot of people experiencing the opposite. I always used Garrus as the other team leader and Tali as the door opener and no one has ever died on me.

I still have an evil biotic only 2/3 through ME1 who I was going to leave alone until ME3 comes out but all this talk about ME2 makes me want to bring him up to speed now!

I don't think I'm physically capable of playing any sort of character that doesn't smack that bitch...

i wish it would've knocked her clean out...and in slow motion

I played a female shepard, so the best thing ever would have been if she slow motioned punched that bitch out, then in real time kissed her on the forehead and said "sleep well" and walked on LIKE A BOSS

The only thing stopping me from playing it again is the mining. I found it incredible boring and resented the fact that I had to do it to do upgrades.

you can get a ME2 save game editor and just give yourself 100,000 of each mineral. Booyah!

ME2 was the tits, I can't believe anyone could rank crap like Red Dead Redemption over it for GOTY

Red Dead Redemption was also a really great game. I think however if it would have been released before ME2 during the year it wouldn't have stolen any of ME2's thunder.

Spoiler tags. For example, if I replace the braces {} with brackets []

Did you know that in the Sixth Sense Bruce Willis' character is {SPOILER}dead the whole time?{/SPOILER}

becomes

Did you know that in the Sixth Sense Bruce Willis' character is
dead the whole time?

ah....now you ruined the movie for me.

just kidding :)

I finally went through all the (paid) DLCs, and I gotta say, I'm pretty damn disappointed with them.

I mean, content-wise, they were alright, and Lair of the Shadow Broker did the most to actually advance the story, but they were mostly insignificant to the ME2 universe. Also, concerning the length of these DLCs. I frequently have heard that Kasumi is roughly 2 hrs of content, Overlord was 2-3 hrs, and Shadowbroker was 4-5 hours. Hell no. According to my steam stats (I timed each DLC), Kasumi was a little under an hour, Overlord was 1.8 hours, and Shadowbroker was 2.1 hours long. No rushing at all, and no dialog was skipped.

I dunno, I'm just slightly venting that I spent ~$25 on this DLC, and now having gone through them, I can safely say that they weren't worth that much.

You can keep both Tali and Legion's loyalty without a paragon or renegade option. Just tell off Legion, then go back and tell him you lied.

I think I did that on my only play through. figured, why should I piss off the broad? the robot won't care if I lie to him

:D

I am just now starting, and its OK so far. One thing that is very annoying is when I change keys from the standard config, when it tells me to do something it uses the old button. Not the one I rebound. Arg!!!

Well that's what you get for screwing with the controls.

:p

I played through once and all my crew members lived - we'll see if I can pull that off again..haha

I have the same standard setup for almost every game. I would say most people change controls. Its just consolized enough to not change the buttons in the tutorial early part of the game which is annoying.

edit, like right now it is telling me to use E and Q to put my henchmen on each side of the door to fight the mech. But I rebound these.. and cant figure out what keys to use. Ive pressed all the keys multiple times. I dont want to reset my controls just to see what E and Q were originally bound to. Argggg!

i hate when games do not read from the config file. i mean, is it really that hard for the programmers to do?

You finally "beat" Mass Effect 2? Did you really beat it? Did your parents throw you a party to celebrate? I ask because when i finish a game, its a lot like finishing a movie, or do you "beat" movies too?-)

I often use "beat" simply as a habit from playing old NES games. For many of those games it was something to celebrate.

Beat, Completed, Finished

All are practically synonyms when it comes to videogames.

I need to get back through this game. I was playing the shadow broker DLC and the game froze. Had to power off the comp. My "player1" data file was corrupted and I lost ALL achievements. I had finished everything except Insanity difficulty. Unfortunately I did not have Windows backing up those files... Sad.
