Finally.....a use for AOL CD's

Was just over at 2cooltek.com and they wrote in an upgrade article that a CD is almost a perfect template for a 120mm fan. See AOL hasnt been filling your mailbox, Sunday Paper, magazines with regular old AOL crap....they have been sending you perfectly round 120mm fan templates, wasnt that nice of them?

back in the days when 3.5 inch floppies were usefull, i used to go on AOL, do the "sign up a friend" thing, and request i get it on a floppy, then when it came, i just reformatted the disk, ha ha ha

Yah, ever since AOL stopped sending floppies, my supply of disks has dried up. I took a little iniative and turned all the AOL cds i had into coasters. Just picked up a roll of thin cork from the craft store, glued it on the back of the cd, stuck a little in the hole and viola, insta coaster. I even picked up some 3" AOL cds from Hollywood Video which make nice glass size ones.

Not only are the regular AOL CDs good for 120mm fan templates, but the 3" AOL CDs are perfect for 80mm fan templates! Thanks AOL!

PS. Shooting practice - cool idea, I'll have to try it 😉
