I just found this fine little program,so far it works on my Soyo 6BA+IV.

No luck on my Asus A7V133 or BH6

Although it looks like you can adjust them all individually,on my Soyo it controls all fans with one adjustment but can take them from full speed to a crawl.

Works fine with Win9x, WinME, WinNT, Win2k and WinXP.Seems to be a very powerful program

Have Fun Best of all it's Freeware.

I tried it on a Shuttle AK35GTR, Epox 8KTA3, and my Dell Latitude laptop - doesn't do anything.🙁

I feel your pain,I was really hoping it would work on my Asus board🙁

Did you check the box for Dell support for Dell notebooks in the configure>options?

it was post some time ago at hot deal forum,
there is a list of support chipset on the website.

try setting it to very low values, starting at 30%. thats when i started to see a difference in my asus a7a 266 with ALi M1535D/D+ sensor. at 10% the fan stops tho.

i tried it on my asus p3v4x, and it worked great. i was able to tell which fan was
making too much noise. thanks again..

The more I use this program the more I like it,I just did some fan swapping & really like how quiet my sons comp is now.
I have a Panaflo L1A in the front for intake hooked up to a 4 pin connector so it runs full speed & still whisper quiet.
The P933@1050 is cooled by a Golden Gate with a 60mm Power cooler fan which is normally a little loud for my liking.

I have speed fan set to 32C CPU temp when it reaches that temp it regulates the fan speed to maintain within 1degree of that which meens my fan speed is around 45 -50 % of normal(read very quiet). If the room & or comp was to heat up I have F/S setup to run on full speed for a cpu temp of 34C. Here is a list Motherboards that are known to change fan speeds.

I'm having to much fun just turning the speeds up & down & watching my temps😀

Worked fairly well with my Asus A7V266-E. Speed01 controls both 3-pin headers on the mobo, so my CPU (crappy Sunon loaner) fan and intake Panaflo shut off at the same time. 25% is enough to notice a change in pitch, and 15% is enough to shut them off. Speed02 doesn't do anything.

Bump!

Just playing with the configurations last night - you know, with the proper mobo, this program can be used as a software-based baybus. You can get it to alter fan speeds automatically to compensate for temperature increases/decreases in the case, CPU or hard drive. The program shows your temps in your system tray too. SpeedFan deserves a bump.

I love this program, works great but makes my system very unstable. Any other programs like it?
