Finally... a pop-up killer for the MAC! Pop-Up Zapper. $10.

Seems to work well. $10 for both OS9 and OSX versions. You can test the OS9 and OSX version for 5 days free.

Once registered, the OSX version updates itself automatically.

There are numerous excellent apps for the Windoze platform, but none (until now) that I know of for Macs.

I've been looking for something like this for a very long time.

From the site:
<<Pop-Up Zapper is a shareware application for Mac that helps you by "zapping" away those annoying pop-up windows when you surf the web. Pop-Up Zapper is available in two versions- Pop-Up Zapper for Mac OS X and Pop-Up Zapper Lite for Mac OS 8.5, 8.6 and 9.x.
Pop-Up Zapper watches the work of your web browser. When the program identifies a pop-up window, it closes it just as you would, except quite a bit faster. Using Pop-Up Zapper for OS X, most of the time you will see a window flash open and then close on your screen. It moves quickly, however, so may not notice it at all. You can look at Pop-Up Zapper's counter on its Dock icon to see that it is working. With Pop-Up Zapper Lite, the process is completely transparent. You will never even see the pop-up window.
There are very few valid reasons for a pop-up window, but occasionally you will want to allow a legitimate pop-up. Pop-Up Zapper detects and closes only unwanted pop-up windows.
Pop-Up Zapper is Shareware, 10 U.S. dollars. You can run Pop-Up Zapper in evaluation mode for 5 days only, at which point it requires a license to continue working. >>

Unfortunately, Mozilla in OS9 is tedious. Takes 30 seconds to start up, and there are problems with the "File" menu... very strange characters and menus appear, and I get no "quit" dialog. Nice browser, but buggy. Plus, I hate filling in forms, and there's no way to store this info as in MS Explorer.

Don't forget OmniWeb, iCab, Opera, (already been mentioned, but) Chimera. There's lots of great browsers for the mac that make Internet Explorer look like rotten liver. I think all of these have ad/popup blocking built in, or will when they're more done (as in Chimera and iCab, which are constantly adding features on a daily/weekly basis)

Only smart people pay premium for an Apple and pay for every tiny weeny software. This is the way business should go. I'll buy some Apple stock tomorrow because it must have the healthiest business model and I want to be smarter by owning a piece of Apple thing.

I've always used WebWasher. Free for home/education use. Doesn't look like there's an OS X version tho.
