hey its almost as expensive as the g5 laser at msrp and the g5 has the weights, and a better grip. I don't think this is too much to fuss about. If you're a lefty its good tho

If they dropped the price down to MSRP $40, I would consider getting it. $60 is still far too much.

That's pretty neat. Looks like Logitech is really gunning for Razer's marketshare now.
I have to say, it would be kind of nice to have a mouse with that shape and SetPoint. I don't like the small buttons and narrow wheel, though.

I dunno, the only thing Logitech might have over Razer would be comfort, of which I find their mouse designs to tend to be a bit more ergonomic - although that's a possible downside because they're not symmetrical and thus poor for lefties - and it isn't so bad because my Razer forces me to hold and move it with my fingers as opposed to wanting to grip it with my palm and all. That and Razer doesn't offer any wireless solutions.

Ergonomics is more than comfort, it's also usability.
I remember reading how almost every razer's side buttons are easy to accidentally press.
The placement of the G3's sidebuttons is much better (I have an MX300 for comparison). Since most people hold their thumbs near the bottom of the mouse, the G3 has buttons that are more near the top so that you don't accidentally press them when you're gripping the mouse.
But who knows, we'll have to wait till they're in stores.

why do they keep doing ugly patterns on their gaming mice? I forget which it is, but there's one that looks like it's had a hammer taken to it.

It's all a part of staying ahead in the game. They've already gone through all the typical colors for a mono-toned mouse...namely black, white and silver. Then they went on through the two-toned mice, black and white, or black and silver or silver and white etc.
They only thing left to do was crazy patterns in crazy colors.
