Finally. A good decision by the management of a pro team in Atlanta...

Heh...I'll have lived here in Atlanta for five years come August and still have not been to a Falcons game. 😀 My money goes to college football in the fall...can't afford both pro and college tickets.

Good hold by the Falcons though. If the Hawks can keep their down the toilet season going, they should stand a strong chance of winning the lottery and getting Lebron James with the top pick. That would give Atlanta the best young NFL player, two of the best young NHLers, and potentially the best young NBAer.

This shows the difference between AOL ownership and Arthur Blank ownership. Braves have Glavine who wants to stay in ATL, will take less to stay in ATL, and he ends up in NY. Falcons have Brooking who wants to stay in ATL, will take less to stay in ATL, Blank treats him with RESPECT, and Brooking stays. I bought season tickets last year when Blank dropped them to $100, and I couldn't be happier with the franchise. I'm not crazy about Reeves, but I can wait another year or two till he retires.

Now they need to go after David Boston!

Unfortunately, I don't think the Hawks suck BAD enough to get the number one pick. They are like Number 8 in the lottery, and I think a team can only move up a max of 5 spots. Besides, Stern will find a way to get Lebron to a major market - I'm guessing Chicago.

There is always hope while the Hawks players have given up hope 😀

😀😀😀 - what was I thinking? The Hawks can tank the second half just as bad as anyone out there!

I hope so. I've got a $50 bet with a friend that they won't make the playoffs. 😀

I still see ads with "Your PLAYOFF BOUND Atlanta Hawks!"

Yep, its pretty bad when I would rather go to a hockey game or an arena football game at the new Gwinnett Arena than an NBA game.
