I can get 5000 down half the time, but im capped at about 350 up on my cable. Downloading isnt EVER an issue (even with 3 others on the network at my house) uploading sucks though. I was uncapped for about 3 weeks when I first had cable, I could upload at well over 200k/s, it was INSANE! Ah well...broadband rules and welcome to the club, gotta love getting a ping below 50 on CS 50% of the time. $35/month for cable if you own the modem, $49 for dsl (768/128 i think).

one thing i am excited about is pings.. my pings dont go above 100! 😛 they float around 65 in UT
 
does anyone still use MP on quake 3 arean... inside of the game? i cant get it to work?!! any reasons?

I dream of having the ISP options you have in the US.

Internet in North America is pretty sweet. Canada & US have the same infrastructure and alot of technologies are developed in parallel.

European countries have the potential to be even better than us, and everyone else is screwed. 😛
 
only if cable offers faster upload speed say 384kbit but I doubt it most are 128kbit forget it.
faster download say 2mbit, slower upload say 128kbit is actually worse.
