How's everything look? As you can tell, I haven't decided on a case yet. I would really like to go with the Raidmax in order to keep costs down, but I would prefer the Cooler Master case. If you can't tell by theses specs, I'm on an extremely tight budget. I am mainly posting to ask if anyone sees any compatibility issues.

Thermaltake makes good PSU's I thought? I really don't care about the case because of my budget.
 
Have you considered the Epox 9npa+ over the Neo4?

I have the coolermaster case, no complaints. I'd probably drop the TT PSU and get some better though.

Not all their PSU's are of "usable" quality. Very few are. That one falls in the "junk" category. 18A @ 12V is about what you want for a P3/older system.

Are you sure you can't stretch to a DVD-RW? They really aren't much more expensive these days, and now I have one I have no idea how I did without it.

The Antec SLK3000-B costs about the same as the Cooler Master case and is better. Mounts two 120mm fans, low-restriction grilles and is well-configured for quietness.

Edit: Amazon has free shipping on the Antec, which would make it about $15 cheaper than the Cooler Master.
 
Check out the for sale forum if you want a older processor like that. You will find some great mobo/CPU combos. I got a dfi board with a 3400+ for $200.
 
I would dump that power supply. My friend's got one and it's a complete piece of junk. It actually fried after a couple months.
I've heard good things about the OCZ Modstream/Powerstream series. Also SeaSonic PSU's but they are pricy. If you want cheap-end you should go for a cooler master perhaps antec. they last a while and are good for the price. ive got one in my computer right now.
 
good calls on PSU, Vid Card. Definitely get the fortron, and try to get a dvd burner, should be no more than $10
 
Around 650-700. My choices I've listed brings me to about 670 or so with an OS, keyboard, and mouse (I already have a monitor thank god.) I'm only 13 so 700 is as much as I can manage because I can't get an official "job" yet per se. I do some assitant field work for my dad who is an architect but that's not a constant source of income.
 
Haha. I should've been more specific. I'd have to get rid of my backup BKO (that has sentimental value because it was my first marker 🙂 ) in order to have around 800. If you wanna buy my E2'd cocker for a high price that works, but otherwise I'm not selling that. 🙂

Edit: I just looked at your sig and saw that thing about cabbage. Did you happen to regular on WGPPress (when it wasnt "under construction")?
