Hey, just getting my new rig running and currently have 2x 19" LCD monitors running on my 5770. My question is, what is the best way to connect an LCD for watching movies? I was about to plunk down for a 25ft 22AWG HDMI cable but is this going to give me issues with regard to the active display port requirement for 3 displays?

I don't really want to run this like a monitor, my TV is against a different wall; but maybe that would be easiest in terms of managing it? like I said I'd like to just be able to turn on my TV, switch to the input and gmote over to windows media center and fire up my movie.

I'd rather do HDMI and get the audio and video in one cable, seems easier, but I'm not sure.
I could get a displayport to HDMI adapter, would that work?

anyone tried this? kinda exotic but I dont really even know how to even look for answers. Basically monoprice is throwing me so many cables/adapters/options I dont know where to run. D:

Use HDMI, but have some sort of way to open your media player in the TV desktop so you don't have to go back to the PC and just use the media player right away.

You can only run 2 displays that are not display port. You'd need a displayport adapter or a native-displayport monitor to use the 3rd display.

I suggest getting a cheap DP->DVI adapter and hook up one of your monitors using that, and then use the HDMI out to the TV.
