Final pieces gaming rig

Alright well after a bunch of research and searching on here I grabbed an i7 930, EVGA GTX 470, Corsair 750TX, OCZ vertex 2 120GB, DVD writer, Gelid Icy Vision VGA cooler, and Scythe Mugen 2 rev. B.

This is going to be a gaming machine and I do plan on overclocking as much as possible on air, while keeping noise down. The machine will be in the same room as the living room so while its idle it needs to be as quiet as possible. LED's I dont really care about, blue/red/none whatever.

I need some help on motherboard, RAM and case. I was looking at the obvious ASrock x58 extreme and Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R but just cant decide on which one or if there is another thats a better match for me. For the RAM and Motherboard I would say nothing beyond $300 each ($600 total) but preferably less of course.

Memory, it cant have the high heatsink spreader cause from what I have read, the Scythe Mugen 2 will not allow non-standard heatsink spreaders because of how large it is. I would like to go triple channel 6GB (2gb x 3) and something that will overclock well. I was looking at these

But my question is will this memory prevent me from overclocking as high as I would like?

Cases, there are just too many to decide on that I dont even know where to begin to be honest. Just something sturdy and easy to work on. Window or not, doesnt matter to me. Would like to keep it below $150, hopefully under $100.

I was looking at this case but not entirely sure I like the aesthetics of it.

Any and all advice is Much appreciated!

Either the Extreme 3 or the GA-X58A-UD3R would be a good choice. They have similar featuresets and the Extreme 3 is cheaper, so I would go with that.

The G.Skill memory will be fine because you can set the memory divider to keep it running at/near spec as you raise the BCLK.

Cases are pretty much personal preference. Pick once that you like. Check out the Cooler Master HAF series, the Antec Three Hundred and Nine Hundred, the Antec P183, and the Lian-Li PC-K62.

Thanks for the response, I was leaning toward the asrock board since it was cheaper and I couldnt find any differences.

Thanks for the advice on the cases. the HAF series seem to be a style I like the most out of all that you recommended.

Any other recommendations?
