u've never seen thhat with newer cars? plastic bumpers can pop off. mine did once plastic bumper is highly flexible, its mostly there for cushioning and to keep the foam pad/metal bar behind it together its not glued all along the back or anything, just a few bolts on the side. snap and pop!

kinda like the shell on most bike helmets.

Yeah definately.. and also I'm like 90% sure the car is NOT cg, so that means it's REAL along with the bumper.
