So I’m in the market for a new headset. My budget is up to 125$ USD. Not an audiophile (so I’m not going to quibble over a 5% difference in highs and lows, or whatever), but I appreciate quality sound. Also, I want a circamaural headset that is adjustable. I bought and tried out the Audio Technica ATH-AD700s on recommendation from a friend, and hated the open air design and the fact that they are non-adjustable.

Uses, in order of importance: Sound isolation for riding the bus, gaming, listening to music. Don’t have a separate sound card. Not really interested in fancy noise cancelling stuff (but if there’s built-in stuff that I won’t have to mess around with and it’s proven, I’m fine with that). I also already have a zalman mic, but I’m good with either a headset with a mic or one without.

Here’s the final list of contestants I’ve put together. Please comment on experiences and thoughts alike. Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm going to nix the Corsairs, based on the AT review. Leaning towards the Sennheisers, unless someone talks me out of it.
