Final LCD Choice: Dell 1800FP or Viewsonic vp171b?

Ok, I've finally narrowed it down to 2. I'll be using the monitor for surfing, some graphics editing, and some gaming. I know the 1800fp's panel is made by LG and I know the Viewsonic's panel is made by AU and is the same as the 1760NX and the hitachi 174. I just need to know which one you all think I should get. Ignoring the 1 inch size difference, what do you think?

Also, if I got the Dell it would have to be off ebay since Dell.com only has 1801fp's now. You think I'd be OK getting it off of ebay. If I went with the 171b I'd get it from dell.com during one of their deals.

I have the VP171b and I can say that it's a great LCD for absoutely everything, 2D, 3D, DVD, etc... I have a friend who has the 1800FP and he says it's nice but he's not picky and he only does 2D. I do hear that the 1800FP does play games great though.

Dell Outlet have refurbished 1800FP for $498. You might try calling to see if they'll cut you a deal on the phone. They were on sale for $448 two weeks ago.

Do you think the refurbished Dells are returns for dead pixels?

Would I be able to exchange it if it did have dead pixels?

Is the warranty the same as new?

I couldn't find this on Dell's site.
