Edit: And I still say DDR3 is a completely unnecessary waste of money.
I had to get DDR3 memory because of the MB, but I only got the cheapes high performance DDR3 1333s so that down the line i could upgrade to 2000s sometime next year. Could you recommend a X48 board thats a better match for my system that would take DDR2? *because I dont know of any other X48 board, plus this DFI board looks very promising* Its just I have read of many reviews from people/sites/magazines/etc that DDR3 is just as ok as DDR2, if configured right.

Do you really want to pay hundreds of dollars for something that's "just as ok" as DDR2?
Why X48? What is it giving you that X38 doesn't?
Any X48 or X38 DDR2 board from a good manufacturer like ASUS, Gigabyte or DFI would be fine.
DDR3 offers no tangible performance enhancement. Even upgrading to DDR3-2000 later on will have minimal effect. Core2 systems just aren't limited by memory bandwidth the way some other platforms have been.
