Yeah, but the 8-bit graphics are kind of cheesy. Oh you mean the movie. It didn't look like it had anything to do with Final Fantasy to me, but it might be worth a rent when it goes on DVD.

How many Final Fantasy games look like each other. None.
They all have different characters, settings, times they take place in. The only thing they really have in common is Cid(he is in the movie) and excellent stories.
I just watched it! And let me tell you all its worth the money. You'll get into the movie just like any other good movies. I almost forgot it was all computer animated while watching. I think imma watch it again this weekend.
I just saw it with Joony. The graphics are nice and all. But the love story thing ruins the whole movie. It needed more action! If its based on the game it should have more action.
so the general consensus is that it's worth the 7 bucks? i've been looking foward to this movie but people have said it's really cheesy and a weak plot.
I'll prolly see it friday or saturday. It's only at the ripoff theathers though. Who wants to pay $12 for a ticket, argh :| The theater near me is $6 and just as good, but of course they aren't playing it.
I just came back from seeing it @ the matinee for $4.50...pretty good, but from a technological standpoint I kept wondering if the animation was state of art...very good animation but I saw flaws...the skin texture sometimes resembled the texture of a manniquine(sp?) and the movement of the characters was too smooth, too flowing @ times...people sometimes move in little "jerky" movements and the animation @ times was just too smooth... again this is just an obversation of the technology, I liked the movie overall though
<< $12? Where is it $12? I'm under the impression that the most expensive theaters are here in NYC @ $10. >>
I'm in Canada. those high tech, bigass-screen theaters cost $12. $7.50 for matinees.
I don't mind going to a "regular" theater and paying half that...but for FF I don't really have a choice! All 3 theaters in this area that are playing it are the pricey ones.

The story wasn't that bad, I wonder how long it took to make this movie, hmmm...
i feel the story is sooooooo much like alot of anime ive watched, with the earth spirits and what not. i really really liked it, not just eyecandy wise either.
Kami - it might be playing in Cambridge at either the Mall or the Cineplex Odeon - both on Hwy 24/Hespeler Rd. They are, I think, cheaper than Silver City in Kitchener or the new Galaxy in Waterloo.
eakers - Where did you see it? Is it playing across the parking lot from your work - and if so how much is it there?

Dunno what you mean high tech, but I go to a Theatre with a Big ass screen and THX certafied sound system for 9 bucks (if you show your TTC student card, they give you a discount).
