shush danny you broke mofo. the offer still stands. sexual favors for a copy of ff10.

btw, ff8 waasn't THAT bad. it kinda got interesting around the end of 2nd disc. that's pretty late to draw attention but still, it's decent. good thing final ends tomorrow and no work next week. means i can go out and get a copy early before all the high schoolers get out 😱

Played the demo. I'm not great fan of RPG. Not decide to buy it......but I can say the graphics is great like those animate/cartoon.

Must.....resist....the urge.....to preorder.....

I have NEVER preordered a game, but for some reason I am tempted to order it at Ebgames right now. Someone give me a good reason not to.

i never liked RPGs in the past. NEVER. i didnt like the battle system. but i played the demo of FFX and i thought to myself i would actually might get into the game. so i'm gonna buy this game. hopefully it doesnt turn into another FF7 game, where i just bought it, played it for like 10 minutes, and put it on the shelf for eternity.

people who never liked RPGs are the ones who likes fast pace action games. i'm starting to drift away from RPGs myself because i've grown impatient as i got older. but i still understand that RPGs can be sluggishly slow at times because it's a damn RPG. you can't have a good storyline unless you sacrifice a little action. sadly not many people realize that and diss RPGs while being hypocritical and bitch how some games have no storyline whatsoever.

You just did yourself a great disservice. 10 minutes only and you gave up on it? Tsk tsk...

How to make a Final Fantasy Game:

1. Have an overblown setup to introduce the main protagonists of the story.
2. Start the game then walk along until a villian pops up and you whack him with your magic sword or magic powers.
3. Repeat step 2 ad infinitum...

Step 4. Collect millions upon millions of dollars.

Too bad you don't like the series but I think its safe to say that you are in the minority. 😛

<< It's not that I don't like them - but if you'd played one of them, you've pretty much played all of them...🙂 >>

Is there a game type where this logic doesn't apply tho'? A baseball video game will be the same no matter who makes it. A First-person-shooter is the same as well. The graphics just tend to get prettier.

BAH... I'm not even going to bother to resist the temptation! 😛

Anyone know any coupon codes for EB? If so, PLEASE gimme gimme! 😉

~EDIT~

I just pre-ordered from Amazon using a $5 off $35 FW coupon. It's gonna be an Xmas gift for my friend. I hope he likes it. 🙂

Deus Ex is not Quake III... There's always room to improve game play in many diffrent genres... FF seems to always be stuck in the "whack 'em with magic or a sword - get points - start over again..."

Which is why I never understood the appeal....Same thing, each version. To each his own I guess.

LOL when did this turn into a genre-discussion forum?

RPGs sacrifice a lot of action for story. They bring in strategy beyond "hide, find item, kill silently". No offense meant though, but you compared Deus Ex and Quake 3. Quake III is "twitchy" and has no story, but is pure action, while Deus Ex is slower paced but has a decent story, RPGish elements. If you don't like em, oh well, you're missing out on some good stories and fun.

Annnnyway..tomorrow's the day, I'm jetting quickly to the mall once school's out. But then I have 2 more college essays to write, see LotR with my brother, and put up the Christmas tree..guess who's not sleeping tomorrow night.

step 5. make a hideously long cgi, call it a movie and watch it crash and burn..... then sell your soul to sony to make up for the capital lost.

anyone got X yet? i wasnt aware it was coming out so soon, im on the "if someone doesnt come in and buy there reserve, we'll give you a call list............... at 6 different stores....LoL

NOend

it's coming out the 19th. placed mines on reserve. usually i don't reserve but no loss since it was only a 5 dollar deposit.
