The link in the email sent by EA is for eastore.com. If you add a game to your cart at eastore.com, there is a field for your coupon code. For some reason, eastore.com is different from ea.com.

Final Fantasy can only be found on ea.com, and there is no part of the checkout process that allows coupon code entry. So i guess the coupon only works at eastore.com... bummer.

On a side note, from the shot clips on the square website, i don't think the english voice actors are that bad. Of course i'd have to hear
longer sound bites to make a real judgement. I think the best thing square could have done was put both voice tracks on the US release and
let us chose (like with Onimusha).

<stepping up on soap box>You guys are killing me...Video game consoles have one of THE WORST profit margins in the electronics industry. Companies LOSE money on these consoles they sell. Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft are all taking a loss on the system so that they are more affordable to us, the consumer. They make their money back from video games. For every game sold for their respective system, each company gets a kickback.

So, Sony is NOT "jacking up prices" because they have a dominant product. They are confident enough in the PS2 that they are not going to take a bigger loss on the console than what they are already.

Nvidia and ATI are completely different stories. There is a HUGE profit margin on the actual video chips themselves. When a competing product is released, they have more room to drop prices to be more competitive. The companies who actually sell these cards have a very slim profit margin, so they don't have much control over their prices. They make inexpensive cards by having versions without TV out, DVI, etc...

Same thing goes for AMD and Intel. The profit margin on CPUs is huge for the manufacturers. That's how they have these so-called "price wars." They have decided to reduce their profit margin to sell more chips.

I just played the GC, XBOX, DC and PS2 at a thanksgiving party. Have to say the GC was the most popular as everyone wanted to play it. then came XBOX as people wanted to see what it could do and playing Halo on it. DC was also popular. The PS2 was dead. When XBOX and GC get more games, the PS2 will be going down. I expect the price drop to be around summer of 2002 to $249 and $199 by winter 2002.

I'd say there are cool games on every system, such as Smash Brothers on GameCube, FF and GT3 on PS2, and Dynamite Cop on dreamcast . The only game that looks really cool to me on XBox so far is Halo, but I definitely can't bring myself to pay $400 or whatever for one game.

Oh, and if u think the PS2 is dead, you definitely need to try GTA3!! (If you are old enough that is..)

That article was rather biased. For example:

The GameCube is no slouch, but it's no PS2. Think car talk. You may have a nice car, but the guy with the Lamborghini is going to kick your ass in race on the Autobahn. This doesn't mean you don't have a nice car, it just means his is better.

If you believe that the GameCube is more powerful than the PS2, please note that you have been lied to.

Uh, ok... I bet he thinks his Kyro II is more powerful than my 8500 too.

OK, I found the coupon at 4allcoupons.com, and followed the link to the "EA Game Advantage Store". This is the site that honors the $15 off coupon, but they don't appear to have FFX available for sale. I also tried using the $15 off coupons on SSX Tricky, and the site said Invalid Coupon Code. Not so hot now..

EA sent me a 10 bucks coupon on Nov 11th but link to use that coupon doesn't have FFX.
