Mayhaps it will drive the ridiculous prices of the PS One version down, I see it selling on ebay for $100+.
 
They've had Xenogears for months now in Japan and we still haven't gotten it. Screw it, if anything will motivate me to learn Japanese faster it may be these games...
 
Ooooh they have it for PSP too. I'm one of the few folks it seems that hasn't modded his PSP so it'd be really nice if it did come to the US.
 
I have the original FFVII, but it'd be nice not switching discs if I can have the entire game the PS3 HD.

OMG, I would love to play Xenogears again on my PS3. That is my all-time favorite game EVER. Everything from the storyline, to the soundtrack to character stories was absolutely perfect. 🙂

Since I have never played a JRPG, I look forward to trying this on the PS3 after how much my friends have bragged about this series (and I do not want to pay $100+ for the PC version on Ebay).

The stuff out in Japan for both PSN and VC is insane. I was very happy for us to get Suikoden and Ogre Battle, but it seems like the Japanese are rocking almost every decent JRPG ever made.

I just decided to buy the physical discs - they may cost more, but at least they have a resale value and I don't have to wait forever for 'em.

I would just play FFIV or VI, if you've never played one before. It sounds like your friends have already over-hyped FFVII 😛

Yeap, I own every single Final Fantasy on disc and can play them at my leisure on my PS3.

The remakes of III and IV for Nintendo DS were very good. I'd say at this point I like VI and VII pretty equally. Both are epic games.
 
There's a theory going around that this was to promote the Japanese BR-D release of FF7-AC. We may see this game here when we get our release. 🙂

me too! most bestest ever. I'd buy it instantly if it were available.

I hope they come to NA eventually. It can't be that hard for them.
 
Cool! I would definately pick up FF7 again. I tried to dig my PS1 copy out when I got my PS3, but it was gone. I have it for PC somewhere, but I recall that version being a buggy mess.

I would love to replay 7 with my son.. He is really getting into JRPGs after playing through Blue Dragon.
 
Any change a platform will release earlier FF games? I would pay $30 for FF1 or FF3 on any of the newer consoles..
