Atma Weapon is my all time favorite since it looks so cool and much like a lightsaber.

Also has anyone actually find the rumoured pink armor in FF2US? What about the white ninja in FF3US?

I tell ya, I absolutely loved all the FFs I played (8 doesn't count...) but now my patience is gone, I really like ff9 but I can't sit through all those damn battles...

Between the release of 8 & 9 I read all of the Lord of the Rings series and now I figure if I want a GREAT story, why not just buy a book, its cheaper, it lasts longer, and I don't have any of those gay ass turn based battles.... These RPG companies HAVE to do something... These random battles are killing the genre, slowly but surely...

Shaftatplanetquake,

Agree, they need to do something so that less battle and more story. I think the game should emphasize about some sort of legendary weapon of a sort. I really enjoy shopping for more cooler and powerful weapons, but the battles often seriously hamper the gameplay. Also I hate it when you have to fight a lot just to have enough money to spend on new items. It makes the game annoying.

The random battles in FF9 are way too frequent in some places. I don't agree that you should just read a book though. The FF series are the best role playing games ever, the strategy of fighting bosses (random battles aren't strategy at all though) learning new moves with the various weapons/magic systems, and the ability to choose your own path in some cases is what distiguishes RPGs from books. Not to mention the ability to paint a clearer picture of the story through FMV and full motion video which makes the story much more lively. Lets face it, books are for suckers.

<< What about the white ninja in FF3US? >>

I got the official strategy guide to ff3, practically studied it inside out for months (I was a very bored kid back then)...there is no white ninja (if there was, it'd be in there). Maybe you're thinking about the yeti guy (Umaro I think his name was), who is also white, but about 500 pounds to large to be a ninja.

Favorite characters (FF3):

Brutality: Edgar w. Genji Glove and Offering equipped with Atma Weapon and Pearl Lance (About 60k damage each turn)

Magic: Sabin w. Gem Box and Economizer (2x Ultima each turn, costing a whopping 2 MP) :)

Hahaha, I remember equipping Edgar with double Atma Weapons (stolen from Atma Weapon), Genji Helmet, Red Jacket, Genji Glove and Offering. The game turned into total cheesiness. :D

I believe it let you jump multiple times.

What is the most powerful normal weapon (no variable-HP weapons, etc.) in FF6?

I don't know which is the most powerful weapon, but I'm pretty sure the Atma Weapon is HP dependent.
