Final Fantasy Questions...

If Square remade Final Fantasy 6, and Final Fantasy 7, what would you have added/done differently???

FF6 - better graphics, and the ability to recurit General Leo's ghost. Also, it would be cool if they made a version for the GBA.

Bring back Aeris, Gol Durn it! I invested a lot of time pumping up her stats, and then she ups and permanently dies on me. Yeah, I know, it's a plot twist, but it still makes me mad. Besides, she was a cutie.

But people like this scare me.

Also, I never could get 3D to work on the PC version, I had to play through it in software-only mode.

I think you could bring back Aeris in the Japanese version -- if you stop by the church for a while after she dies, you can see her ghost.



FF6 -- Uncompressed music (or at least 320kbps mp3 quality). A good use of cinematics (ex: Opera scene, the destruction of the world...)

3D would be nice...an option to switch from old school to 3d and back .

Built in cheats (because I don't want to wander around going into 255 battles to turn the cursed shield into the paladin shield. that was teh suck) That or tweak the system so it isn't so redundant and boring. WEAPONs would be good too. There was atma weapon, but he was a chump compared to diamond and ruby weapon in ff7.



FF7 -- nice graphics and up the sound quality. And yeah, built in cheats -- leveling up the KotR materia was teh suck. Maybe decrease how many points you need to level it up...grr...

Make Sephiroth harder.

Don't skimp out and allow you to bring back Aeris.

Modify the ending if you get Vincent or Yuffie -- if you have the english version, you can see that they aren't around even if you have them.


Little goodies are nice too. For example, being able to listen to the sound track, view all cg movies, a little "remaking of," character info. Heck, even a Chocobo doll in each rerelease!

yeah, i had to play software render, but my system was a 200mhz.....wow it lagged....but ff7 was the best game i have ever played evar!! wouldn't change a thing, the materia system rocked man!!

FF6 in 3D would be interesting.

I thikn it'd be cooler to have really nice FMV's. The ones in the PSX version are ok, but they're not integrated into the game. Something with real motion-capture and work done by Jun Aida (the CG dude at Square).

Make them all more like 3.. Every one since 3 has sucked more and more.. I now don't even bother buying any of them. Its to bad, they used to be my favorite games.

you mean FF3 US? FF3 US is FF6.

Everyone should follow the japanese convention of naming b/c it's a LOT less confusing.

And you're right... everthing after FF6 went downhill. FF7 was good... but it wasn't as good as FF6

junction wasn't so bad... DRAWING sucked majorly. I hated just standing there drawing magic over and over...

remake of ff6 and chrono trigger on GBA!!! wish square would listen to me, it took so long for chrono trigger psx version to show up in the states too. but yeah even a direct port to gba would be so cool... they did it for breath of fire, which was a square game.
make the graphics better in ff7, smoother, so no blocky characters; plus add something extra so it's worth beating again
