Final Fantasy I and II coming to iPhone & iPod Touch

Pretty sure I played the Japanese II...which is IV here? I don't remember, confusing. Which was the one with Cid?...ahh just kidding, I know they all have a cid.

I didn't like IV too much. V I liked a lot I remember, VI was so long ago I don't remember much, I'll have to play it again.

They could do upto FF7. 8 would be stretching it, but the popeye arms of 7 would go well with the iPhones power (even the original).
 
Wow, awesome! The iphone/ipod touch is becoming quite the gaming platform. I recently got an ipod touch 2g, and I love it. I got GTA: China Town Wars the other day, so great to have a game like that in my pocket to play whenever I get the chance. I rarely listen to music on it but I have a ton of games. It's much more convenient to carry a slim ipod touch with me packed with games that I can play during downtime, at restaurants, when my wife is endlessly trying on clothes at a store, etc than it is to bring my DS with multiple cartridges. And, I know I shouldn't, but at 34 I honestly feel a little stupid whipping out my Nintendo DS in public.
 
Nice. Like everything on the Touch/IPhone though it all comes down to the UI/controls. Luckily FF1 and 2 are entirely turn based (I believe) which should make it much easier.
 
If you look at SQUARE ENIX's current games on the iphone, they are prices 5.99-9.99...and I have about half of them, great games...well done. I think they'll make some good change off FF1/2. It will probably be listed under 9.99..that's my guess.

best group = 1 knight 1 ninja 1 white wizard 1 black wizard


the most difficult part of that game is there was exactly 1 save game available. and my copy would erase itself if removed from my nintendo (which due to the wonky spring loaded contraption had a tendency to disconnect itself ever so slightly toward the end of it)



a gf was going to get me an NES-101 for christmas one year and i kick myself all the time for telling her not to get it.

I remember the standard group was Fighter/Monk/White/Black

2 Fighters/white/black was more powerful.

I remember when I first started the game I chose Fighter/Thief (ninja)/ White/Red mage man and that group was hard to level in the beginning as compared to the other ones.

or you can just download and install the IPA file into your jailbroken device
 
i got all the way to the final boss with 4 knights.
...sadly i never did beat the game. i accidently saved a new game over it @#$%^
