What happened at the end of FFVI anyways?

I never had the time to finish it...

got to the point where I was almost ready to finish the last guy....

after you beat the main bad dude Kefka, it goes into a slide show type dealie, and basically shows the world recovering for meing almost destroied

happy happy joy joy kinda thing
but doesn't everyone die? The White materia destroys everything bad, including the human race?

i think you are thinking of the wrong FF, FF6 FF3 us has magitite (sp) not Materia

I'm talking about the one which had Tetra (the girl) in it....

Where you know she's half human, half (whatever those things were called)

half Human Half Esper and its Tera

and there is no Materia in the game i gan gaurentee that,

Thank you sir, your memory is better then mine.

I haven't touched that game in a while....

by the way....I discovered at EB another rpg to tide me over till ffxii...

it's lord of the rings rpg style....
Jero's talking about FF7 with the materia, FF6 has the magicite. Aerith/Aeris was half Ancient, not sure if that's what you meant by Tetra (maybe they're the same thing).

No, I'm not talking about FF7, that is a definite fact.

There was no cloud, no aeris, no tifa, etc

I'm talking about a prince who lives in a sandcastle (who is very in tune with advanced weaponery) who has a twin who has awesome attacks, a girl with green hair...., a knight who's entire family was destroyed by the evil guys...ring any bells?

a martial artist

yes thats FF6 as I said

Edgar is the king in teh castle with teh gagets
Sabin is the martial artist
Cyan is the knight whos fam was killed
Tera is the girl with green Hair

i can give you the full character list + abilities if you want me to

go ahead 😉 i know you and i are talking about the same thing 🙂
Your description of Terra is remarkably similar to that of Aeris'... 🙂

aeris has brown/black hair, terra has green hair....how is that similar?

edit: aeris died by a sword by sepherorish (sp)

Jero, you should really see the ending. Get the rom or something. The game is really easy with an emulator since you can speed up the game and save the state whenever you want. The ending is pretty long and shows everyone, except Shadow, escaping from the floating battlefield. It's pretty funny what happens to the characters... except for what happens to Shadow... 🙁

BS. Shadow doesn't die. He only dies if you don't wait for him after you beat Atma Weapon at the end of the floating island, which is HALFWAY THROUGH THE GAME. If you wait for him, you can finish the game with him and he lives.

Shadow doesn't escape off of the floating island. He's not on the airship when everyone, including Terra, wakes up. I was referring to that.

Shadow does escape off the floating island, if you wait for him. You have to wait for him.

shadow does NOT LIVE AT THE END OF THE GAME

he stays on kefkas tower and dies, to atone for his sins

It's been a _long_ time, but doesn't Shadow come off the tower if you get his dream scenes by staying in a certain inn? I'd swear when I played through it, Shadow came down with everyone else.

You can have Shadow live at the end of the game, depending on what you do during the game. You don't necessarily need to see all seven of his dreams.

He doesn't stay on the tower, he escapes. He just goes off in his own direction, without the rest of the group.
