Final cpu speed for socket 754 anyone know ?

Well it looks like the 939 will be out of my price range for while, i was wondering what my upgrade options will be with the 754 socket. If amd would release a cpu in the 200.00 dollar range i would go for the 939, but 500.00 is way out there.

The answer to the question in the title of this thread is 2.2ghz, the A64 3400.

$210 Athlon 64 3000 (skt 754) will do 2.4GHZ with some decent DDR400 ram and a good Nforce 3 250 board.

Actually the 3700 A64 is the fasteset socket 754... OEM and Retail 3700+'s at newegg

thanks , just saw the 3700, i wonder if this will really be the last speed bump for socket 754, would be ince if they ended it on an even number, oh say 4000 =)
