Well school is finally over and Im going to get my report card Monday to see if Im actually going to get my computer. But there is a component that Im not sure what I want to get(Video Card) All the Prices are in Canadian Currency.

I originally wanted to get a Sapphire X850XT PE, but I dont know if I should dish out the extra 200$ for the 7800GTX. I wanted the X850XTPE because it beat out the 6800s in HL2(Mostly the game Im going to be playing), but now the 7800GTX beats out the X850XTPE. And also getting the 7800GTX I wouldnt have to upgrade that component.

Also if I got the 7800GTX would it bottle neck because of only the 2.2ghz CPU? And if it did, would overclocking to 2.6/2.7ghz get rid of the bottlenecking?

Basically Im just wondering if it is worth spending an extra 200$ for the 7800GTX. Or just stay with the X850XTPE?

Thermaltake isnt a 'great' PSU company. Might want to look at a antec, enermax, seasonic, OCZ... etc

Drop down to a 3200+ Venice. If you are going to be doing OCing, just save the money, both the 3500 and 3200 will OC about the same.

I would say both cards are poor choices. Way too expensive. Its always good to get 'top end' hardware, but i would never get the absolute best. A X800XL or 6800GT is a far better choice. if you 'must' get one of these expensive cards the 7800GTX is a no brainer. Its lightyears ahead of the radeon and is much more future proof.

Also the Xp120 is too large. It doesnt fit on the motherboard comfortably. Get the regular XP90 or use the stock heatsink. i was able to run my 3200 venice at 2.7ghz on the stock heatsink. Upgrading my heatsink lowered temps but i am still capped around 2.7-2.8ghz. If you want to save cash get the 3rd aprty heatsink later, after you break in the system and get used to it.

What size is that harddrive? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=22-148-034&depa=0 ?

My mom is buying it for me, but I have to contribute to it since it is expensive in her head.

The size of the Hadr Drive is 120 gigs, but I can prolbably go to 160g. And I cant buy from NewEgg. I live in Canada :

Well the Power Supply I just choose one but I can cange it.

Well I think the video card will just have to be decided in how much my mom is willing to dish out.

Any Other suggestions?
