I know these topics have been popping up like crazy but please just take a look. This is my first build so I want to make sure all the parts will work together with NO problems. I dont plan on changing anything unless theres compatiblity issues or theres a better deal that I havn't found.

I do however need some help deciding on which case from the two below.

Yea.. I've beening leaning toward the X-Discovery but I just wanted to get some opinions on them first.

I have the X-Cruise case (or something very similar to it, perhaps an older model) and I love it. However, I did have slight problems with PCI card clearance, and currently my secondary graphics card is running without a bracket screwed into the case (yeah, it's just plugged in with nothing supporting it!). However, that is probably due to my card, not the case, as I have not had the problem with anything else.

Everything else looks great - however, you might want to consider a Lite-On DVD burner for a very nominal increase in cost (you're going to need one eventually!) and maybe take a glance at the WD Raptor SATA hard drives (I love mine).

Otherwise, looks great. Good luck! 🙂

Looks pretty good, the only things I noticed are that if you're willing to voerclock, you can get a cheaper CPU instead of the 3700+ (like a 3000+ or 3200+, or if you want the 1 MB cache, an opteron 146 if you can find one). Also, I don't understand why you have such a small HDD selected. To put it in perspective, you for less than twice as much you could get a drive with more than 3 times the capacity.

Other than that looks like a very good job.

Well I decided to go with the X-Discovery case. I'm probably gonna order or this tonight. 😀

I just want to double check some things.

-That HDD will work with the MoBo, right?
-That win xp home edtion CD isn't just an upgrade CD but to actually install windows on the computer right?

They may be stupid questions but I'm just want to be 100% sure. 😀

-Thanks!

Should. I still suggest a bigger one though.

Dunno, read the box and/or website. It should say if it's an upgrade CD or a full install.
