Where's the answers? :p ([thread=80121]Here's the questions.[/thread])

I don't see anything wrong other than you're paying a lot of money.

Don't forget windows professional or you won't be able to use that 32GB of RAM. Also, if this is video editing you may want to go easy on that video card unless you're using CUDA of course.

You can actually use the normal version of Win8, if you're willing to use Metro.

How much performance does socket 2011 offer e.g. 3930K over an 1155 e.g. 3770k? I haven't checked in a while but I would guess not much vs the price difference, unless you are in Holly wood doing this as a profession and see the money easily justified...

Well, for gaming 3700k would be fine (There would be no difference) but for video editing the extra cores, X79 chipset features, and the extra performance really do give a boost for video editing.

Another person on another forum just pointed out to me that a Noctua NH-DH14 may be to big for this, apparently it will cover some of the ram slots etc... Is this true?

In what app, and are you using video card acceleration?

Could you please clarify what you mean by video card acceleration? and I use Adobe Priemere, Adobe After Effects, Red Giant, and many other video editing appllications I dont use benefit from a 3930k. Its generally good for any editing operations.

What was wrong with your other thread? Posting a new thread on the same topic means that everybody loses the context and we have to ask and answer the same question over again. For example:

I have a question for you OP, what is your monitor setup? If you don't already have a 30" monitor, then you'd be better off from a productivity standpoint by buying one of those and then getting a $1500 PC.

This is updated though, its not the exact same. This is after I took everything into consideration from all the websites.

Right, but it would be contextually identical, so it makes more sense just to update your old thread. You can tell from some of the initial responses that it wasn't immediately obvious that we've been working on a build.
