Final build for my budget comp.

Ok I was wondering if this is a good buy and if there arent any tweaks i could do for certain parts. But here are the specs

I already have a Sound Card and mouse. But if im leaving out anything else please let me know. I would like any input possible

I don't know if I would call it a budget system!!! hehehe....

I like most of the picks....Are you plan on ocing??? If so the IS7 from what I have heard looses the PAT feature at a certain fsb or never quite works right when ocing or using other then a 1:1 ratio....Look into it maybe a bit more...The Ic7 is not that expensive to get the real deal with the i875 platform...

I'm sorry, but a $410 video card doesn't go in a budget system.... $410 IS a budget system. That being said, woo woo 5900 ultra!

Yeah, Abit IC7 allows better overclocking than the IS7.

Also, I'd suggest PC3500.

ok but the IC7 doesnt support above DDR400 (PC3200) know any other mobos that rank with the IC7 but allow pc3500?

oh and Nebor do you have your Intel p4 overclocked? if so to what speed?

No, I'm running at stock speeds.... I've gone up to 224mhz FSB before though, that's the roof for my memory. ANyways, I have no way to take advantage of 3.4ghz speeds, so I'm running at stock...

Um, the IC7 accepts PC3500.... It supports PC4000 even. It's just the highest FSB supported by Abit, or ANY mobo manufacturer is 200mhz. But rest assured, you'll have no problem overclocking the board up to PC3500 speeds.

If you didn't already know, the IC7 doesn't have onboard LAN.(Good one ABit) No big deal, because an ethernet card will only set you back $10-15, but it is a suprise when you get the rig all put together and start connecting cables

Get the IC7-G... it has onboard CSA lan, so your PCI bus isn't consumed by downloading America's Army from your OC3 connection.

well if ur budget is 1600 go for ic7-max3 definetley

got HSF? Maybe you already have one.

If noise is a concern, I like the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu. Otherwise, Thermalright SLK-900 and blow the @#*& out of it!

The Zalman is the better choice. It is quieter and will run you CPU a few degrees cooler than the 900.

Well at the start of my search for new computer parts I was allotted $1200 and that is a budget comp. Then my dad said "Ill give you more" so he gave $400 more and I just added another $100 dollars from my own pocket. So It was a kinda budget comp when it was concieved.

Im sure its been said...but there isnt much budget in that comp....a 5900 isnt a budget card...
