Filter question

For my antec plus 600 case there is a fan port on the side door. This is supposed to blow air into the case. The problem is that there is no filter there. What type of filter is best used in this location. If you have a link on where to get one I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

One thought. Should this fan be set for blowing out the case instead of blowing in. I'll have 2 front intake fans, the rear output fan, and this side fan.

your side fan should be blowing into your case...

balance out your airflow... i have 2 high speed 80mm( 84 cfm ) in the back exhausting, and 2 80mm medium speeds up front blowing in and a medium speed 92mm in the side blowing in... this gives the case a nice flow from front to back and across my vid card. you definately dont want to have bad airflow inside...

as for filters... google works 😀

I used a square aluminum mesh filter that I attached using velcro. It makes it very easy to remove for cleaning. Nexfan.com has 80mm aluminum mesh filters for $3.99

That might result in pressure; a NASA study on cooling showed that a slight vacuum is preferred as opposed to too much air being pumped into a case. Then if it works, don?t fix it.
