filter for porn

so I have never used a filter...but I had a friend call me today and found her husband doing the whole porn thing on the internet..and she is not pleased...

So if you use one...what's the best filter out there that has a password protection on it?

So your friend is the lady and you want to help her prevent the computer from accessing porn? Or you want to help the guy hide the fact that he is accessing porn?

As for the former I was at my local DMV a year or so ago and saw in PC Magazine a review of just this type of software. It is marketed towards parents but I guess a nagging controlling wife could use it just as easily.

I have no experience with the latter because I have never had to "hide" porn on my computer.

yeah I've never seen the need to filter things on my computer..so I don't have a clue which program is best...and she wants to not have porn in her house..so she wants to keep it off her computer with a password.

I'd suggest moving this discussion to the "Love and Relationships" forum. It's a relationship problem and not a technical problem.

Definitely. There's more going on than just a simple content filter can solve if this is an issue for them...
