They'd probably think "at least it's not a British soldier forcing an Iraqi POW to give him a blowjob." Either that or they'd think that's a retarded thing to take a picture of. Not like they could prove it was pot anyway.

I actually want to buy a camera sometime...should I get a digital one or film? See the thing about film is that you can put pictures in a photo album (more convenient) but digital you have to pretty much keep them on a computer, cause I don't want to print out every picture I take. My reasoning anyways.

YMMV at the local walmart lab. They have the right to call the police and press charges if needed.
If you use the mail in service at walmart, the film is not checked and anything will get by including anything in your imagination.
Mail in service sends the film to a huge lab to process the film. It's cheaper but takes 3 days minimum IIRC.Originally posted by: americangigolo

What is the mail in service?

Most film developers have a policy to do some scans of film to make sure they won't be liable as accessories to any illegal activities. However, I don't think anyone is going to be looking for pictures of people holding up baggies. Kiddie porn is the real concern. In most places, they don't even worry much about photos of consenting adults. (That's not to say the employees won't make extra copies for themselves.)

I used to work at an extremely high volume Ritz Camera for about 4 years. Usually about 150 rolls a day. While most printing now is automated, most good places (more expensive, or some one hour places) will "QC" rolls quickly to make sure there are no gross errors. If you goto cheap places that are very very busy you will likely find they may not QC at all.

I thought this was gonna be a question about film developing. Like "I'm processing C-41 film. What is the ideal temperature for my fixer bath, and for how long should I agitate at that temperature?"
Oh well. 🙂

It's risky, but I wouldn't worry about it.
You aren't going to come back to pick up the film, only to find the cops waiting for you.
Unless the "baggy" was really a "bail".

Hehe, no sorry Jzero. Guess I should've made a more descriptive title, huh? 🙂
