This is really frustrating. Whenever I copy a file over 100 megs from one computer to the next (just click-drag copies in explorer), there's about a 50% chance it will get corrupted. I'm having to make .SFV files for everything I copy over, then re-copy the files that failed the checksum. Sometimes I have to copy a file over 10 times before it works. The differences are very slight -- I did a file compare and there were only a couple bytes off here and there, but this shouldn't be happening at all.
Any ideas on what might be wrong? Bad cable? switch? network card? hard drive? Knowing my hardware, it's probably a combination of all four and some day soon a giant puff of black smoke will shoot out of the case and ALL the files will be corrupted, heh.
