I have a win2k box on a domain.
I have constructed web pages with links to files. on one of the servers on the domain.

When i click on a link to a .tif link the download message pops up... the option to open from location is greyed out... the only avail option is to download it to local machine and open it..

I have tried everything i can think of. after updateing Ie it now gives me the option to open in the dialog box.. so it works.. but i would like to have it open it without askin the message.,

Pdf's work fine.. click the link it launces the pdf proggy and whala..

any insight would be appreciated

do you already have tifs associated with an app on your computer?

if not, go to a tif file, rightclick, then go to open with... choose your app, then check always use this program... then OK.

try your link again.
