Not sure what this should go under so if it's in the wrogn forum, please move it.

Anyone here a paying member of FilePlanet?
I used to get fast speeds on their download manager (about 300 KBPS) and now I'm lucky to get 100 KBPS.

this happened awhile back and they couldn't help me. I should have canceled membership then but i didn't. anyway, the only thing that changed back then was that I had reformatted my HD and reinstalled windows xp. if anything, that should ahve really cleared up any issues, right?

anyway, I guess my main question is, does anyone know if there are any ports to forward in your router or firewall? there's nothing about it in the help sectiions.

I get free Founder's Club access from Comcast, but for game patches I much prefer FileFront, as you don't have to login and I max out any connection.

this is hilarious.
I sent thm an email asking for help again and said that if they can't help me, i'm going to cancel my sub. they sent me a generic email, i replied saying that its been an ongoing issue, etc. i cancel my sub. i just tried to download a demo from there (unsubbed) and i'm getting faster download speeds from them unsubbed than when I was subbed. wtf????

3dgamers.com for the win. Always fast and usually no wait on the "Free Public Servers". I generally get between 400-800KB/sec.

Yeah I canceled my FP sub when the speeds went down the toilet. Filefront is great.

Im a paid member but not for long, I only wanted the account for one 3 month spree starting in october to get all the xmsa releases quickly. Then they autorenewed (damnit) and I have the next 3 months as well. Joy.

The download speeds are usually about 750kbs though.
