File won't delete.

For the longest time, I've had this old torrent file in a specific place (D : \users\me\downloads) that will not delete. It's not even a torrent file anymore, it's just a file with the .torrent at the end of it. It won't delete, as it doesn't see the file as being there. I can't move it or delete it, as it asks me to verify the location...

How can I delete the file? I tried deleting it from CMD but that didn't seem to work either.

there are programs out there that help you in removing files like this. Every once in a while I come across a file or folder that just will not delete. I would just use google and try to find a program that aids in deleting such files.

I've Google'd, but to no avail. Maybe you can help as I'm not Googling the right thing perhaps.

Hmmmmm.. strange, maybe we're looking into something I've never experienced before. I remember when I had these problems I would just go on google and look up like "file deleter freeware" and just download and install everything till it worked. Unfortunately, I couldn't give you a definitive, 100% sure answer as to which program I used.
