File Transfer Question

Hey, basic question....What is the best way to transfer(not move but copy) a fairly large folder of video's from my desktop to my laptop?
Both are running Win 7. ( not sure if I have my computers set up in my home network or not ). Thank you in advance. 🙂🙂

I would suggest networking the two computers and transfer them across to the laptop

To see if they are on the same network, they should have the same network domain name

If you don't have a net set up, you can also move them via a "sneaker" net, i.e., a high capacity thumb drive. Another option is a crossover cable between the two machines' Ethernet potrs.

The least amount of worry and work is to use Ethernet networking. If both PCs have Gigabit network ports, you can even hook them up with a standard CAT 5e or CAT 6 patch cable with no need for a switch in between.

I'm doing this wirelessly right now from one desktop to another. 90 gigs has taken over 18 hours so far
