I presume up-to-date Win XP and 2K boxes will let an ap use the FSO ok, will NT4.0 and 95/98 work with it if they're updated, or will an application using the FSO need the scrrun.dll to be installed aswell?

Or am I just way off course here?

Thanks

EDIT:

OK, so it seems it would just need a recent enogh version of the scrrun.dll. Does anyone know what version of scrrun.dl included FSO support? And if NT4/9x had that available to them via an MSupdate?

SCrrun.dll is included with Windows Scripting Host. IIRC anything Win 95 rev B+ should have it already included.

I know we had to load the scripting host in NT4. I think we had to load it in 95 originally. You may be right about Rev B, but that was almost 8 years ago... Just cannot remember.

The version that came out in about 1999 did. You may need to investigate at MS' Scripting page for better detail.
